SICCEP 2016 - International Conference on Counseling and Educational Psychology

Todays helping profession such as counselor and teacher are faced with changing environment in terms of roles, responsibilities, students, and problems issues. Counselor and teacher have unique challenge with other profession because their function as the very instruments through which to be helpful and effective especially for students. Counselor and teacher must be competent and have variety of knowledge and skills to deal with students and school needs. 1st International Conference on Counseling and Educational Psychology (SICCEP) 2016 provide latest development and inovation in counseling and education psychology through the presentation of speaker from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Thailand, and 22 theme of paper will be presented. The aim of this conference is to improve knowledge and skills of counselor, teacher, and lecturer to help students in areas of academic achievement, personal / social development, and career development.

Nowadays, there are many social issues in Indonesia, such as multicultural issues, school violence, special population or minority group issues, sexual abuse, etc. All of those problems have to overcome and as one of helping profession, guidance and counseling responsible to act.
In 2016 we commemorate the existence of Guidance & Counseling profession for more than 50 years in Indonesia. This field has been growing up until now followed by lots of innovations then giving significant perspective to the theory, methodology and practice. On this conference, we will focus our time to discuss about developing and innovation on helping profession for better life
