(2011), Oldenburg (2013), Istanbul (2014) and Ljubljana (2015).The 9th
ISSEP conference will take place at the University of Münster,
Germany. It will be held jointly with the international workshop
WIPSCE 2016.
SCOPE

Informatics or Computer Science as a subject matter in primary,
secondary and vocational education and their different realization in
compulsory and voluntary courses. Papers addressing the following
issues are highly welcome.
Main topics:
- Sustainable Education in Informatics or Computer Science for Pupils
of all ages
- Connecting Computer Science lessons to the students’ everyday lives
- Teacher education in Informatics or Computer Science
- Research on Informatics or Computer Science in schools (empirical /
qualitative / quantitative / theory building / research methods /
comparative studies / transferability of methods and results from
other disciplines)
Special topics:
- Computer Science topics in school beyond programming and algorithms
- Technical education in Informatics courses and vice versa
- Students’ perceptions of Informatics or Computer Science issues in
everyday life
- Exams in Informatics or Computer Science and assessment of
competences
- Motivating children and teachers for Informatics or Computer Science
- Learning Informatics outside the classroom: contest, events, project
weeks, etc.
Special Theme:
There has been a growing awareness of the importance of Computer
Science education in K12 education. Accordingly, serious efforts have
been made to introduce or improve Computer Science education in
schools. Papers reporting on national recent changes in curriculum or
