Samrat Ashok Technological Institute (Engineering College), Vidisha is one of the oldest and top ranking Engineering College of M.P. The Institute was established on 1st Nov. 1960 under the “Open Door” policy of the Govt. of India by Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Education Society. It is a grant-in-aid institute and managed by Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Education Society (MJES), Vidisha whose chairman is Shrimant Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Honorable State Minister of Industry & Commerce, Govt. of India.
The Institute has entered in 50th year of its existence & celebrating Golden Jubilee year. During the 49 years of its age, it grew in a big way. The Institute which was started in 1960 with 3 UG programmes in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical with intake of 120 students has taken a big shape and now offers 8 UG programs, 6 UG (Part time) and 11 PG programmes in Engineering; MCA, MBA and 4 Applied Sciences PG courses and Doctoral programme in all the major fields of Engineering, Sciences & Management with total strength of about 3000 students. All these programmes are affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Technical University/ Barkatulla University, Bhopal. The Institute is spread over 85 acres of lush green land and located at few minutes walk from railway station.

About Vidisha

Vidisha is situated about 50 km north of Bhopal and well connected by Western-Central railway and roads. Nearest airport is located at Bhopal. It has a rich cultural heritage with the world famous Buddhist Stupas at Sanchi 10 km from Vidisha. The Emperor Ashoka was the governor of Vidisha and it finds mention in Kalidasa's immortal Meghdoot. Some other prominent monuments in its vicinity are Udaigiri caves, the Heliodorus pillar, the Shiva Temple at Udaipur, Maladevi Temple at Gyaraspur and Dargah of Khwaja Fatehullah, nephew of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti of Ajmer, at Raisen. During October, the weather is pleasant with temperature ranging from 20 to 30 degree Celsius.

The Conference

The objective of the conference is to share the emerging trends in engineering and sciences amongst the faculty and researchers. The papers on emerging areas of the following disciplines of engineering and sciences are invited-
? Civil Engineering
? Mechanical Engineering
? Electrical, Electronics and Biomedical Engineering
? Computer Science and Information Technology
? Applied Sciences and Management

Call for Papers
Original contributions from researchers are invited to share their work. Apart from regular paper presentations, poster presentations, key note addresses by experts, technical & book exhibition are also planned during the conference. One copy of full length paper not exceeding four A4 pages should be submitted to the coordinator (nc2010-AT-satiengg.org) on or before 5th August 2010. The paper layout should be restricted as per the format available on the Institute website.
Papers would be reviewed and selected for oral and poster presentations. Selected papers after peer reviewing will be published in SATI Journal of Science and Technology (ISSN: 0973-4007).

The registration fee includes the registration material, eco-friendly conference proceeding on media CD, boarding & lodging (one day one person on shared basis), tea/refreshments during the conference. The registration fee should be sent to the Coordinator, National Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering and Sciences, S.A.T.I., Vidisha (M.P.) ? 464001, India, by DD, drawn in favour of Director, S.A.T.I., payable at Vidisha. Registration after 20th September, 2010 would be possible with an additional amount of Rs. 1000/-.
