ICT 2016 - International Workshop on Impact of ICT on innovative urban distribution
Topics/Call fo Papers
Urbanization and urban change challenge cities’ infrastructure. As space for roads and vehicles is limited in the city centers, new, more efficient concepts for urban distribution logistics are needed. Furthermore, modern ICT has a significant an increasing impact on distribution processes. The scope of this workshop is to present case studies and recent pilot projects on new distribution concepts and to discuss the role of EUSPN and ICT for the realization of these concepts:
? What improvement do they generate? And how is this measured?
? Are they a welcome support by the users or are they often left turned off?
? Which gaps in coverage of user needs have to be addressed?
The workshop brings together practical experience and scientific evidence to discuss pros and cons and open gaps in regards to developments and applications.
