SSERV 2016 - 3rd IEEE International Workshop on Social Services through Human and Artificial Agent Models
Topics/Call fo Papers
Human collective intelligence (HCI) and Artificial agent based models (ABM) have become popular in computational social system science literatures, however, until recently, there are very few opportunities for both social system scientists and computer scientists to meet together to discuss complex social decision problems such as city management, education, marketing, finance, and traffic systems. There exist so many stakeholders in social complex decision problems. To address the issues, it is indispensable to gather both social system scientists and computer scientists together. We must advance new theory and techniques to marriage HCI and ABMs.
Workshop theme
SSERV aims at providing a forum for discussions and presentations about the above problems. For this purpose, we would like to focus on such cutting-edge technologies as collective intelligence and agent-based modelling to address these problems. The workshop is supported in part by JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number 25240048, Japan (Title: Study on Social Service Decisions through Participatory Simulation Methodologies with Artificial Societies). The project will continue until 2016. Therefore, SSERV is one of good chances to promote such novel research and development activities.
Scope of the workshop:
Any submission whose content is relevant to the area of technically addressing complex social problems will be considered. The topics of interest included, but are not limited to, the following:
Issues and Case Studies on Social Complex Decision Problems
Theoretical Issues on Social Decision Problems
Collective Intelligence and Human Computation on Social Problems
Agent-Based Modelling and Simulation on Social Problems
Participatory Design and Simulation on Social Problems
Gaming Simulation on Social Problems
Conflict Resolution among Stakeholders
Applications of HCI and ABM of Social Problems
