DCOW 2016 - Special Issue on “Distributed Control and Optimization of Wireless Networks”
Topics/Call fo Papers
The world has witnessed an explosive adoption of mobile electronics not only in our daily life, e.g., smartphones, wearable devices, but also in in corporate and industrial structures, e.g., IoT systems and machine-to-machine communications. This makes highly efficient and scalable wireless networks ever demanding, and motivates a couple of emerging wireless networks, such as cognitive radio networks, wireless sensor networks, LTE, adaptive communications, etc., to meet the surge wireless traffic demand and provide ubiquitous communications at diverse application scenarios.
This special issue will focus on network optimization and distributed control schemes that can be incorporated in the functionality of a wireless network in both residential and industrial scenarios, and will try to identify new research issues, opportunities and directions in the emerging wireless technologies.
Topics of interest for big data computing include, but are not limited to the following:
Ÿ Optimization and distributed control of mobile peer-to-peer networks
Ÿ Optimization and distributed control of machine-to-machine communications
Ÿ Optimization and distributed control of wireless sensor and actuator networks
Ÿ Optimization of wireless remote control systems
Ÿ Optimization and distributed control of wireless sensor networks
Ÿ Optimization and distributed control of vehicular networks
Ÿ Spectrum optimization in wireless network
Ÿ Distributed incentives mechanism design in wireless networks
Ÿ New applications and systems of distributed wireless networks
Ÿ Energy-efficient communication protocols design
Ÿ Privacy and security preserving protocol design for wireless networks
Ÿ Cooperation in wireless networked multi-agent systems
Ÿ Optimal controller design for wireless network systems
Ÿ Parallel computing in wireless networks
Ÿ Distributed design in wireless networks
Ÿ State estimation for wireless network systems
Submissions to this special issue will be reviewed according to the normal standard and procedure of this journal. Submissions are not anonymous. Each submission must begin with a title, an abstract, a list of key words, and an introduction that summarizes the contributions of the paper. Accepted submissions must not appear in any other journal or in any conference or workshop with proceedings. The final versions of accepted papers must follow the PPNA guidelines www.Springer.com/12083, with an expected page limit of 20 pages including references and appendices. Manuscripts should be submitted to: http://PPNA.edmgr.com. Choose “Distributed Control and Optimization of Wireless Networks” as the article type.
