ICT4SG 2016 - Second Workshop on Integrating Communications, Control, and Computing Technologies for Smart Grid (ICT4SG)
Topics/Call fo Papers
This workshop focuses on advanced technologies related to the integration of communications, control, and
computing for smart grid system designs. These technologies include: information and communications
technologies (e.g., smart grid communication and networking, energy harvesting communications, machine-tomachine
communications, smart metering, smart grid cyber security, and smart grid privacy); smart control
(e.g., wireless power transfer, distributed and autonomous control, renewable energy integration, demand side
management and demand response, home energy management, electric vehicle management, and smart
electricity pricing); and advanced computing schemes (e.g., Internet of Things and its applications in smart grid,
big data for smart grid, cloud computing for smart grid, smart grid optimization, and cyber-power system
modeling).
Topics of Interest
We are particularly interested in the integration of technologies rather than one single technology for one
particular application in smart grid. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
From the perspective of communications
? Smart grid communication and networking
? Energy harvesting communications
? Machine-to-machine communications
? Smart metering (or advanced metering system)
? Smart grid cyber security
? Smart grid privacy
From the perspective of control
? Wireless power transfer
? Distributed and autonomous control
? Renewable energy integration
? Demand side management and demand response
? Home energy management
? Electric vehicle management
? Smart electricity pricing
From the perspective of computing
? Internet of Things and its applications in smart grid
? Big data for smart grid
? Cloud computing for smart grid
? Smart grid optimization
? Cyber-power system modeling
? Mobile computing for (home/smart) energy management system
computing for smart grid system designs. These technologies include: information and communications
