The Psychology Unit of ATINER organizes A Stream on “Human Development in a Social Context” as part of the 12th Annual International Conference on Psychology, 28-31 May 2018, Athens, Greece sponsored by the Athens Journal of Social Sciences.
The aim of the stream is to share current research findings in the fields of community psychology and human development. Our goal is to share research focusing on examining contextual factors at all levels (e.g., family, neighborhoods, learning and work environments, organizations, institutions, societies, etc.) and their influences on human development. Abstracts on all topics within these disciplines are welcomed, including the interaction between community contextual factors and an individual’s emotional, psychological, and physical well-being at all ages, the factors that contribute to the creation and improvement of communities including the presentation and evaluation of programs, the role that psychological sense of community and sense of belonging play in human development, and the study of the fit between person and environment from an ecological perspective. You may participate as presenter of one paper, chair or/and organizer of a session, or observer. You may participate as presenter of one paper, chair or/and organizer of a session, or observer.
