Topics/Call fo Papers

MmWaves-related technologies are seen as one of the major technology enablers for future 5G wireless mobile networks.
In fact, taking advantage of multiple radio access technologies will allow achieving higher capacities and bandwidths,
reduced system power consumption and lower electromagnetic field exposure. The lack of available spectrum resources
in the microwave range (0.7-6 GHz) and the considerable progress of mmWave radio technologies over the last few years
have triggered a strong interest for the exploitation of mmWave bands (with main focus on bands up to 100 GHz) in future
wireless cellular networks for both backhauling and access.
This workshop will bring together academic and industrial researchers/engineers to identify and discuss technical
challenges and recent results related to mmWave technologies in the context of future 5G mobile wireless networks.
Position papers, technology overviews, and case studies are also welcome. Topics of interest include but are not limited
to the following:
? Use cases, requirements and business models for mmWave technologies
? Spectrum regulatory and coexistence aspects
? Mobile mmWave air-interface design
? Mobility and reliability challenges in mmWave communications
? mmWave-based integrated or stand-alone access and backhaul/fronthaul design
? RAN and deployment aspects, including internetworking with 5G WiFi and other access technologies
? Massive MIMO and multi-user access in mmWave spectrum
? Energy and cost efficiency
? Test and Measurements for mmWave devices
? Mobile networks architectures using mmWave communications
? Standardisation of mmWave communications
? Propagation measurements and channel modeling in mmWave bands
? Security and privacy for mmWave communications
? Advanced spatial diversity / MIMO in mmWave communications
? Antenna and radio technologies for mobile terminals and infrastructure
? Electromagnetic Field Exposure (EMF) at mmWave frequencies
? Beamforming algorithms
? Radio Resource Management for dense populated areas
