IMC 2011 - The 1st International Mokuhanga Conference IMC2011

On behalf of the International Mokuhanga Conference Board we announce here with great pleasure that the 1st International Mokuhanga Conference is taking place in Japan in June 2011. This event has long been anticipated among the woodblock printmakers from all over the world. We are confident that it will greatly inspire the participants and thus lead as a venue for generating excellent results and research in preserving and renovating mokuhanga traditions. The conference will gather professional print artists, art educators and scholars in the field of woodblock printmaking to exchange current research information and experiences with Japanese traditional craftsmen, printmakers and print related art suppliers and toolmakers.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The 1st International Mokuhanga Conference in Japan invites international artists and presenters to participate in the event. We welcome proposals for papers and panel sessions that deal with Japanese woodblock printmaking and related subjects. We are also interested in your ideas for workshops and demonstrations.

CALL FOR EXHIBITORS
