2011 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation &Test
(2011 VLSI-DAT)
April 25-27, 2011
The 2010 International Symposium on VLSI Design, Automation, and Test (VLSI-DAT) successfully attracted hundreds of attendees with a very high-quality program featuring keynote speeches by Dr. Shekhar Y. Borkar of Intel, USA, Dr. Kenneth M. Butler of Texas Instruments, USA and Dr. Chien-Ping Lu of nVidia, USA. The conference published 72 highly selected technical papers, offered four tutorials on hot topics, and featured four excellent invited talks. The 2011 VLSI-DAT will be held again at the Ambassador Hotel in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Original, unpublished papers on all aspects of VLSI design, automation and test are solicited, including but not limited to:
RF, analog and mixed-signal circuits
Sensors and interface circuits
Digital circuits and ASIC
CPU, DSP and multicore architectures
Memory circuits and systems
Low power logic and architectures
Multimedia processing circuits
Communication circuits
Embedded systems and software
Designs using novel technologies
System-in-package design
Electronic System Level Design
Modeling and simulation
Hardware-software co-design
Logic and architecture synthesis
Physical design and verification
Design for manufacturability
Power estimation and optimization
Design verification
Test generation and fault simulation
BIST and design for testability
RF, analog and mixed-signal test
SOC and system level testing
System level design automation
Authors should submit their 4-page full papers electronically through the conference website at http://vlsidat.itri.org.tw. At least one author of each paper MUST register for the conference for papers to be included in the proceedings. Accepted papers must be presented by one of the authors at the conference. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore), if the paper is not presented at the conference. Presentation must be in English and will be limited to 18 minutes with an additional 2 minutes provided for discussion. Authors should submit their final papers (accepted papers only) in an IEEE compatible format after receiving notification of acceptance. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings as submitted without revisions.
Award
An evaluation for the Best Paper Award for 2011 will be conducted during the conference. An Award Committee, consisting of at least five members, will be formed for the selecting the best paper. The selection criteria for this award include the technical content and writing quality of the paper as well as the quality of the symposium presentation. The award will be presented during the following year's symposium.
