The Organizing Committee has the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the 14-th IFAC Symposium on Control in Transportation Systems to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, 18-20 May, 2016, under the auspices of IFAC, the International Federation of Automatic Control.
Scope and Objective
The role of automatic control in traffic and transportation systems for the mobility of people and transportation of goods is essential in a modern society and is changing continuously. Issues when dealing with control in traffic and transportation systems include traffic safety, efficiency, sustainability, environment and energy. In this way providing better solutions to these issues. The Technical Committee on Transportation Systems (TC 7.4) of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) has recognized the importance of the application of automatic control theory and principles and has held the symposia since 1970's as follows:
1970: 1st Symposium, Versailles, France
1974: 2nd Symposium, Monte Carlo, Monaco
1976: 3rd Symposium, Columbus, Ohio, USA
1983, 4th Symposium, Baden Baden, Germany
1986, 5th Symposium, Vienna, Austria
1989, 6th Symposium, Paris, France
1994, 7th Symposium, Tianjin, China
1997, 8th Symposium, Chania, Greece

2006, 11th Symposium, Delft, The Netherlands
2009, 12th Symposium, Redondo Beach, California, USA
2012, 13th Symposium, Sofia, Bulgaria
All researchers and engineers of the field are now invited to the 14th IFAC Symposium on Control in Transportation Systems (CTS 2016).
Topics
The use of automatic control and associated technologies for improving the efficiency of transportation systems is an essential part of any modern continuously evolving society.
