The Organizing Committee has the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the 14-th IFAC Symposium on Control in Transportation Systems to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, 18-20 May, 2016, under the auspices of IFAC, the International Federation of Automatic Control.
Scope and Objective
The role of automatic control in traffic and transportation systems for the mobility of people and transportation of goods is essential in a modern society and is changing continuously. Issues when dealing with control in traffic and transportation systems include traffic safety, efficiency, sustainability, environment and energy. In this way providing better solutions to these issues. The Technical Committee on Transportation Systems (TC 7.4) of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) has recognized the importance of the application of automatic control theory and principles and has held the symposia since 1970's as follows:
1970: 1st Symposium, Versailles, France
1974: 2nd Symposium, Monte Carlo, Monaco
1976: 3rd Symposium, Columbus, Ohio, USA
