SSCS 2016 - Call for Chapter on Solutions based on Soft Computing for the Sustainability
Topics/Call fo Papers
The emergent academic discipline of the Sustainability Science is a research field that seeks to understand the fundamental character of interactions between nature and society. Because of the high degree of complexity of the problems and challenges to face this field requires the integration of many sources of knowledge, new methodological approaches, tools and techniques that enable decision-makers and stakeholders to better understand the dynamic interactions between these issues so they can evaluate and make decisions on a wide range of uncertainty and little information.
It is there where the Soft Computing methodologies can play an essential role in addressing many of these challenges. The inherent tolerance of uncertainty and imprecision, and the robustness of the techniques that make up this paradigm can help solve or reduce the impact of these problems. The aim of this proposal is to show recent and novel studies and applications of Soft Computing in this new and complex field providing a catalogue of the most successful Soft Computing methodologies applied to the Sustainability Science.
Recommended topics include, but are not limited to the following:
? Soft Computing Applications in Environmental Management.
? Soft Computing Applications in Sustainable Energy.
? Soft Computing Applications in Sustainable Cities.
? Soft Computing Applications in Green Economics.
? Soft Computing Applications in Social Sustainability.
? etc.
*Submission Procedure*
Potential contributors are invited to submit by September 30, 2015, a short chapter proposal (up to 200 words) clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his/her proposed chapter.
