Overview:
This webinar will explore how careful selection will help organizational performance. After a brief look at the history of hiring, we will examine the ingredients required for successful job performance in positions ranging from entry-level to senior executive.
Next, we will explore the range of selection tools available and how they operate. This will help select an appropriate mix of assessment methodologies depending upon the position, budget, criticality and other factors. This will provide webinar participants with a wider array of options from which to choose as well as using selection tools with greater precision.
We will also look at the impact of the legal system on selection strategies and how new technologies might find their way into our processes.
Why should you attend: Organizations today bear little resemblance to those many years ago. Technological advances have changed much about how business is conducted. However, our systems and tools for selecting people have changed rather little over time. Today's organizations require far more from their workforce than their predecessors. This webinar will explore advances in selection methodology and how they can be applied to improve the quality and efficiency of the selection process.
Your organization, or piece of it, is only as good as the people who staff it. This requires that you select well, ensuring that critical roles are filled with competent individuals who have both the skill and motivation to do their jobs well. Whether you are considering a hire from outside your organization or promoting someone into a new position, you want to maximize your probability of a correct prediction.
This webinar will explore state-of-the-art tools for optimizing selection decisions. We will take a brief look at the history of selection and then will explore the structure of competence and what predicts success at positions ranging from entry-level to senior executives. Next, we will explore the tools available to us and how assessment can minimize mistakes - as well as provide additional information that will be helpful in supervision and management.
