Overview:
The webinar will provide information on obtaining a licence in Canada for natural health product activities of buildings such as manufacture, package, label and import of best dietary supplements (natural health products). While only those facilities located inside Canada are eligible to be a site licence holder, foreign(US) buildings such as those who manufacture dietary supplements will participate in the site licence approval process in a supportive but crucial role. The overall process of registering all parts of the supply chain for dietary supplements and other natural health products will be covered. The application process will be reviewed with detailed instruction on which forms need to be included in all submissions, and which processes need to be implemented for those facilities involved in the site license application.
Why Should You Attend:
Shipment of dietary supplements and other consumer health products to Canada is not without its challenges. Products are often held up or refused at the border, non-compliant products may be removed from store shelves. Understanding the regulations that govern the shipment and sale of dietary supplements in Canada is key to a product’s success.
Confusion remains for those foreign companies wishing to export their dietary supplements to Canada. Often these groups are left wondering just how to steer through the regulations governing the import and sale of these products across the border. Unlike other countries in the world, Canada requires all manufacturers to comply with specific regulations (called the Natural Health Product Regulations) for their dietary supplements beforeexporting these to Canada.
For dietary supplements, termed Natural Health Product in Canada, there are two types of licenses that must be in place before their sale; a site license and a product license. Webinar participants who wish to export their products to Canada will be able to do so with minimal delay by grasping the differences between these two types of licenses and will understand what information must be submitted in order to proceed with exporting dietary supplements to Canada.
