Cloud computing is a new model for providing business and IT services. Cloud computing has recently gained great attention from both academia and IT industry as a new infrastructure requiring smaller investments in hardware platform, staff training, or licensing new software tools. Cloud computing can be seen as any subscription-based or pay-per-use service that extends the Internet existing capabilities.
Cloud computing is widely favoured for low infrastructure cost and high resource utilization. Small and medium scale business enterprises have become Cloud users already. The goal of Cloud Computing is to share resources among the cloud service consumers, cloud partners, and cloud vendors in the cloud value chain. The resource sharing at various levels results in various cloud offerings such as infrastructure cloud (e.g., hardware, IT infrastructure management), software cloud (e.g. SaaS focusing on middleware as a service, or traditional CRM as a service), application cloud (e.g., Application as a Service, UML modeling tools as a service, social network as a service), and business cloud (e.g., business process as a service). Recent developments include utilization of Cloud for Healthcare, Education, Finance and so on. Researchers are exploring new ways to improve the internal architecture of Cloud to adopt new applications for Cloud.
This workshop encourages interaction and cross-pollination between those developing applications, innovative algorithms, software, hardware and networking, emphasizing wider and new cloud computing applications. We believe the workshop will be an excellent place to help the community define the current state, determine future goals, and define architectures and services for future public clouds. New applications can be for public cloud environment in all fields of life including Engineering, Science, Social Science, Natural resource management, Disaster management and so on and not limited to
Innovative solutions for already existing cloud applications
New frameworks for cloud to accommodate the futuristic applications
Modification in SLA to adopt future applications
Development of Security standards to support versatile Cloud applications
Demography based access policies for Cloud data usage
New pricing models for the future applications usage
Energy efficient solutions for the existing cloud application
