Topics/Call fo Papers

Digital signal processing involves many core signal processing techniques like linear filtering,
convolution, DFT, etc. which were well known for a hundred years back, but were mostly used
for biomedical applications in last two decades. This session aims to summarize the latest
developments in the domain of adaptive biomedical signal processing, noise and echo
cancellation from biomedical signals, adaptive filter for event-related bioelectric signals
instrumentation and its prospective applications in modern advanced signal processing research
domains. The horizon of adaptive filter applications in bio-medical speech and image processing
emphasizes on the recent developments in various modalities like improving the clarity of X-ray,
MRI, removal of noise from Ultrasound as well as ECG/EEG/EMG towards diagnosis of various
diseases. Other topics of interest in the same field include biomedical signal acoustics, filtering,
enhancing cellular & molecular imaging, neutron imaging etc. In this INDIA-16 the chairs want
to offer a dazzling research, multicultural gathering to have multidimensional presentations and
collaborations between the researchers in the field of architectures and algorithms for new
generation biomedical signal and image processing applications. The main objectives of the
special session are as follows:
? To take the research forward in the existing real time designs for adaptive medical Imaging & visualization
? Real time implementation of adaptive speech enhancement using innovative DSP algorithms for biomedical applications.
? To have technical discussion on applications of adaptive filters and designs in biomedical speech synthesis and ultrasounds.
? To study the existing adaptive filtering algorithms for medical image acquisition, analysis, and quality assessment.
? To develop new idea in the adaptive signal processing field to computer aided diagnosis and life support mechanisms
