Topics/Call fo Papers

LLS 2016, like years past, promises to draw scholars from around the globe to discuss research that meets at the intersection of language, literature and Society. Drawn largely from an interdisciplinary standpoint, our conference theme understands that words and language represent not only our thoughts, but our identities, our social and political relationships with others, how communities are forged, how power between individuals or groups are negotiated, amongst other variables. We understand that language connects cultures, traditions, and practices, that literature introduces us to new worlds of experience and that the formation of community is oftentimes the theme. Therefore, it is the goal of LLS 2016 to invite original, unpublished research from faculty, policy makers and post-graduate students to share knowledge, exchange ideas and establish academic relationships.
Given the great breadth and depth of the conference theme, here are just a few examples of possible submission topics:
? Language and Culture
? Language and Politics/Law
? Language, Power and Ideology
? World languages and literatures
? Language and Education
? Contemporary and/or Classical Literature
