Topics/Call fo Papers
Research in mobile computing and wireless communication technologies along with the proliferation of next generation of devices such as smart phones, portable tablets, and wearable devices is now turning to novel concepts to address the challenge of mobile data analysing and knowledge management. This special session addresses issues of mobile data management with a special focus on data processing. The goal of the special session is to build a forum for researchers from academy and industry to investigate challenging and innovative research issues in the subject, which combines mobile data analytics and explores creative concepts, theories, innovative technologies and intelligent solutions. We intend this special session to act as an initial place where people from different areas can find a forum to discuss issues of data management and processing in new and emerging mobile computing environments. Potential participants may come from communities of data mining, mobile computing, expert knowledge management, or any other areas related to mobile data processing, analysing, managing and etc., in order to present their state-of-the-art progress and visions on the various overlaps across those disciplines. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1. Activity and behavior mining from mobility data
2. Contextual mobile data analysis
3. Data quality and uncertainty issues study on mobility data
4. Discovery of mobility patterns
5. Integration of heterogeneous mobility data sources
6. Mobility social and crowdsourcing applications
7. Query processing and optimization for mobile users
8. Storing, indexing and querying of mobile data
9. Theoretic and/or empirical modelling of mobility data
