Compliance is a topic that every facility and organisation needs to be discussing. In a small to medium size facility this is often a discussion held by one person. In today’s environment this needs to change. Even a small to medium sized facility or organisation needs to have a compliance team. A group of skilled individuals who will assess and facilitate an improvement in regulatory compliance and participation. Who can respond knowledgeably to inquiries by governing bodies and who can demonstrate to their colleagues that concerns are addressed, that corrective action is being taken when needed. It takes a team to ensure that all these areas are addressed. We will look at what it takes to build this team within a smaller organization while not detracting from their other duties and why it is essential to do so. Each team member plays a role and the wrong team member can create issues with compliance.
