Topics/Call fo Papers
SOFSEM (SOFtware SEMinar) is an annual international winter conference devoted to the theory and practice of computer science. SOFSEM aims to present the latest results and developments in research in academia and industry, in leading areas of computer science. The first SOFSEM was organized already in 1974.
Program SOFSEM consists of Invited Talks by prominent researchers, Contributed Talks selected from the submitted papers, and the Student Research Forum. The program is organized in plenary talks and parallel tracks devoted to original research in the selected research areas.
ProceedingsThe SOFSEM 2016 proceedings containing all invited and contributed papers will be published in the series Lecture Notes in Computer Science by Springer Verlag, in the prestigious subline ARCOSS: Advanced Research in Computing and Software Science.
SOFSEM 2016 Tracks Papers presenting original research are sought on all topics of interest in the following tracks:
Foundations of Computer Science
Track Chair: Rusins Freivalds (University of Latvia, Latvia Latvia).
Software Engineering: Methods, Tools, Applications
Track Chair: Gregor Engels (University of Paderborn, Germany Germany).
Data, Information and Knowledge Engineering
Track Chair: Barbara Catania (University of Genova, Italy Italy).
Submissions Authors are invited to submit a paper of no more than 12 pages in LNCS format no later than June 29, 2015 (abstracts before June 15, 2015), following the Instructions for Authors. See the Important Dates for further details.
Student Research Forum The Student Research Forum is an integral part of SOFSEM, offering student authors the opportunity to publish and present their projects in the theory and practice of Computer Science. The Forum aims to give students the opportunity to receive feedback on their scientific work and results.
Venue SOFSEM has a long-standing tradition of facilitating discussions and collegial interactions. At SOFSEM 2016, participants and lectures will be accommodated in the OREA Vital Hotel Sklář ****, Harrachov ? an attractive winter resort town not far from Prague.
