Mobile Cloud Computing represents one of the latest developments in cloud computing advancement. The ultimate goal of mobile cloud computing is to provide rich mobile computing through seamless communication between cloud-mobile users and cloud providers regardless of heterogeneous, wireless environments and underlying platforms in global roaming. However, this area faces several challenges due to converged heterogeneous domains of mobile and cloud computing. The special session on "Recent Trends in Mobile Cloud Computing" aims to bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners to share ideas, experiences, and practical implementations related to mobile cloud computing technologies and applications.
