This year, 2015, marks the 70th Hiroshima Peace Memorial and Remembrance events for the victims of the atomic bombing, as well as for the pursuit of peace. Visitors to Hiroshima will be charmed by its warm June temperatures and green, eco-friendly environment. It is easy to move around the small city on foot or by using its famed ‘Hiroden’ streetcar, which only costs JPY 150! The mild weather and low travel costs make Hiroshima a popular travel destination for both international and domestic visitors. Hiroshima also boasts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Miyajima ‘the Floating Shrine’ and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial.
APHYS 2015 is offering sponsored tours to Miyajima ‘the Floating Shrine’ and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial for all registered participants!!
About APHYS 2015
We are pleased to hold APHYS in Hiroshima and this year we are combining APHYS with two other science events concerning sustainability in the sciences: The Second Asian Conference on the Life Sciences and Sustainability and the Conference on Food Science and Security in Asia.
APHYS 2015 is an international, peer-reviewed conference. Full papers are welcome, but not required. Registered participants with an accepted abstract and/or refereed full paper will be published in the APHYS 2015 Conference Proceedings (ISSN 2189-2172).
The explosive development of the life sciences, physical sciences and food sciences and their expansion into other disciplines such as the IT field is yielding groundbreaking discoveries from novel genes and bio-products to cutting-edge nanotechnology, resulting in a transformed science landscape with profound global applications in understanding life, eradicating diseases, securing a more equitable food and water supply/distribution as well as creating novel bio-industries and products. The sheer scope and number of these scientific advances and the never-ending influx of knowledge, while at times overwhelming, both challenge and inspire hope for an improved quality of life for all.
The three-day conference will provide an interdisciplinary platform for academics, researchers, policy makers, students and professionals. With the theme Global Trends in the Physical Sciences, it is hoped that this intersection of disciplines will help scientists and professionals to stay at the leading edge of recent advances in the physical sciences and sustainability, act as a catalyst for further research, improve international collaboration while bridging the scientific and technological differences between developed and developing nations, and foster global health security.
