The 20th ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW 2017) will be held in the US in February/March , 2017. The location and dates are still uncertain because of the recent difficult decision to move the conference from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, back to the US due to widespread concerns about the Zika virus. The conference committee is working hard to make up time and to ensure another great CSCW conference! Please check back soon for news about the date and location.
CSCW is the premier venue for presenting research in the design and use of technologies that affect groups, organizations, communities, and networks. Bringing together top researchers and practitioners from academia and industry, CSCW explores the technical, social, material, and theoretical challenges of designing technology to support collaborative work and life activities. CSCW welcomes a diverse range of topics and research methodologies. Studies often involve the development and application of novel technologies and/or ethnographic studies that inform design practice or theory. Joins us as we explore how technologies can enable new ways of living and working together.
CSCW 2017 will offer multiple venues for contribution including Papers, Workshops, Panels, Interactive Posters, Demonstrations, and a Doctoral Colloquium. Please see the Calls for Participation in the Submit section of this website, which include deadlines and additional information. Newcomers may find that participating in Interactive Posters or Workshops is a good way to get acquainted with our growing community.
We invite you to begin planning not only your submissions, but also your attendance and involvement at the 2017 conference and to join the CSCW Community!
