SS40 2015 - Special Session on Wireless and Cloud Systems for Industrial Sensing Applications (SS40)
Topics/Call fo Papers
Special Session on Wireless and Cloud Systems for Industrial Sensing Applications (SS40) in IECON 2015. The extended deadline is May 11.
SS40 organized and co-chaired by:
Prof. Mikael Gidlund, Mid Sweden University, Sweden ? mikael.gidlund-AT-miun.se Dr. Kim Fung Tsang, City University of Hong Kong, HK ? ee330015-AT-cityu.edu.hk Dr. Gerhard P. Hancke, City University of Hong Kong, HK ? gp.hancke-AT-city.edu.hk
Call for Papers
This special session on Wireless and Cloud Systems for Industrial Sensing Applications brings together academics and industry practitioners to discuss the application of wireless and cloud technology to collect, communicate, store and process data within the context of industrial sensing. We solicit technical papers describing original ideas, theory, methodology and experiences from the design, implementation and deployment of an industrial sensing application based on wireless or cloud technology. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1) Advanced network architectures and standards for industrial sensor and actuator networks
2) Protocols for reliable and real-time wireless communication
3) Industry-standard network planning methods and management tools
4) Integration and coexistence of heterogeneous wireless networks
5) User-centric sensing
6) ‘Cloud of Things’ and cloud computing for sensing application management
7) Data analytics methods and platforms in industrial wireless networks
8) Emerging wireless concepts in IoT for industrial wireless networks
9) Healthcare for medical, logistics and transportation
10) Wireless Network Virtualisation and SDN
11) Security and safety issues in industrial wireless networks and applications (context awareness, localization in smart workspaces, etc…)
12) Smart mobility for industrial applications
Submission of papers: Extended Final Deadline: May 11, 2015 All the instructions for paper submission are included in the conference website:
