AIM and SCOPE
===
The International Workshop on Enhanced Living EnvironMENTs, ELEMENT-2015, is dedicated to the dissemination and evaluation of original contributions to the architectures, techniques, protocols, components, orchestration, choreography and development related to the ELE area. Investigations, discussions and exchange of experiences from different stakeholders? perspective on AAL technologies are welcome. The event is organized in the framework of the ICT COST Action IC1303 Algorithms, Architectures and Platforms for Enhanced Living Environments (AAPELE).
The focus of this workshop is on new architectures, methods, techniques, protocols, components and tools related to the Ambient Assisted Living Systems. These may include, but are not limited to the following topics:
Sensing and Monitoring
ICT instrumentation and Middleware support for Smart Environments
Human-Computer Interaction at AAL environments
Environment Adaptation based on intelligence
Intelligent Healthcare and Homecare Environments
ELE Architectures and Platforms
Key applications domains
Do not hesitate to contact the Lead TPC Chair to clarify if a particular topic is in the scope of ELEMENT-2014.
Authors are invited to submit research and application papers following the SPRINGER Manuscripts style. We solicit the submission of academic workshop papers (14 pages) representing original, previously unpublished work. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. The conference proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the LNICST series. The event featuresa Best Paper Award. Selected papers may be invited in a Special Issue, dedicated to the event (more info will soon be available, kindly check the ELEMENT website).
