ABOUT LATINCOM 2015
The 7th Latin-American Conference on Communications (LATINCOM 2014) will
be held in Arequipa, Peru on November 4-6, 2015. The IEEE LATINCOM is the
most important IEEE ComSoc conference organized in Latin America that has
attracted many authors and attendees from all the world since its first
editions. This event will be an excellent oportunity to join together
researchers, professors, students and the industry. Accepted papers will
be published in IEEE Xplore and besides a selection of the best papers
will be published in the IEEE Latin America Transactions (an ISI indexed
journal).
Arequipa is a touristic and important Peruvian city located in the south
part of the country. It is known as the "White City" because of its
colonial buildings made of ashlar, and famous for its exquisite cuisine.
The colonial downtown was declared in 2000 as a Historical Heritage of
Humanity, and houses the convent of Santa Catalina (the only one in the
world made as a citadel). In Arequipa it is located the Colca Canyon, the
third deepest one in the world, an spectacular view only 165 km away.
Arequipa is adjacent to Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire,
home of the famous citadel of Machu Picchu (one of the seven new wonders
of the world).
