TRUCE 2015 - Training and Research in Unconventional Computation in Europe
Topics/Call fo Papers
TRUCE (Training and Research in Unconventional Computation in Europe) is a three-year project funded by the European Commission Future and Emerging Technologies programme. Its main goals are to nurture a European community in unconventional computation (UCOMP), and to develop a roadmap document describing how the field might develop over the next decade or so.
This workshop will mark the formal completion of the TRUCE project. During the event, we will present an overview of the project and its various activities (including a "hackademia" robot-building retreat, and the compilation of Beta-Life, a collection of "science into fiction" short stories), introduce the roadmap document and its main findings, and hear from a high-profile invited speaker (TBC) on the future of the field.
The first ten individuals to register for and attend the workshop will receive a free copy of Beta-Life: Short Stories from an A-Life Future.
Please note that you must register for the main UCNC conference in order to attend this workshop.
For more information, please contact the TRUCE coordinator, Prof. Martyn Amos (M.Amos-AT-mmu.ac.uk).
