Topics/Call fo Papers

Acivs 2015 is a conference focusing on techniques for building adaptive, intelligent, safe and secure imaging systems. Acivs 2015 consists of four days of lecture sessions, both regular (25 mns) and invited presentations, and poster sessions. The proceedings of Acivs 2015 will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (approval pending) and are listed in the ISI proceedings index.
Acivs 2015 will also feature a conference dinner, and other social activities. The social activities will be detailed later.
The conference fee includes the social program (conference dinner, opening reception, and cultural activities), coffee breaks, daily lunches and a copy of the proceedings. The registration fees (including VAT) are 300 ? for students, 500 ? for IEEE members and 550 ? for all other participants).
In case one presenter presents multiple papers at the conference, one registration fee suffices. However an additional fee of 200 ? will be charged for each additional paper.
Special session on large scale video processing and analysis
Computer vision and video processing have entered a new era in which the focus changes from the individual camera as an acquisition device to interconnected systems featuring many devices with distributed processing, large data rates, ever increasing spatial and temporal resolution and multiple imaging modalities.
The recent surge in European projects (Panorama, Copcams, Exist, Image Capture of the Future..) illustrates not only a high level of research activity in this area but also a strong interest from industry. The goal of the special session is to liase between these actors, especially those involved in projects like these.
The special session will feature invited speakers from both industry and academia. Relevant regular papers, subjected to the regular peer review system, will also be considered.
Invited speakers
Acivs 2015 will feature a number of invited talks, which will be announced later.
Conference topics include (but are not limited to)
Papers must show original and high-quality work, from basic research to pre-industrial application. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Image and Video Coding: coding, quality metrics, image and video protection; including applications like multimedia applications, mobile imaging, augmented reality, WWW.
Image and Video Processing: preprocessing (scanning, sampling, quantization, …), compressed sensing, filtering, restoration and enhancement, color processing; including applications like multi-camera systems and sensor networks.
Multidimensional image processing: optical, infrared, radar, sonar, polarimetric, multispectral, hyperspectral, ultraspectral and other types of images and videos; including applications like remote sensing and medical applications.
Image and video analysis: segmentation, computational photography, tracking, pattern analysis, computer vision, information geometry, image and video databases, search and retrieval, multimodality, authentication and watermarking; including applications like events supervision, surveillance applications, biometrics and forensics, robotics.
