Metabolomics 2015 - 11th International Conference of the Metabolomics Society
Topics/Call fo Papers
11th Annual International Conference of the Metabolomics Society, June 29-July 02, 2015. This conference will be hosted for the first time at the U.S. West Coast at the San Francisco bay area, home of many of our long-term partners in mass spectrometry, leading biotechnology companies and the Silicon Valley. The conference venue is the Hyatt Regency Burlingame, located conveniently close to the San Francisco airport to maximize travel options for you. The blinking lights of San Francisco invite you to explore its diverse neighborhoods, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz or Fisherman’s Wharf.
This conference will embrace all aspects of metabolomics in five theme areas: from plant, animal and microbial metabolism to advances in technology and informatics, the onset, progression and therapy of human diseases to food and environmental metabolomics. We invite you to attend 21 oral sessions, 3 poster sessions, sponsored luncheons, 6 keynote lectures and 12 workshops.
For the first time, these workshops will showcase vendor technologies applied to complex food samples, but also NIH workshops on results from an international ring trial, and a diverse set of NIH biomedical pilot projects. The Early Career Member network will invite to specific workshops and a reception. The national affiliates of the Metabolomics Society will have opportunity to meet and organize their activities, including the formation of a U.S. affiliate organization of the Society.
In pre-conference satellite meetings on Sunday afternoon June 28th, U.S. and Japanese metabolomics consortia will invite scientists in plant, photobacteria and algae research to discuss projects towards Metabolomics for a Low Carbon Society. In parallel, software programmers and informatics scientists will meet for the first "Metabolomics Hackathon" to improve exchanges of data and metadata between metabolomics databases and software.
