SEUS 2010 - The 8th IFIP Workshop on Software Technologies for Future Embedded and Ubiquitous Systems (SEUS 2010)
Topics/Call fo Papers
SEUS 2010 will be a forum where researchers and practitioners with substantial experiences and serious interests in advancing the state-of-the-art and the state-of-practice in the field of embedded and ubiquitous computing systems gather with the goal of fostering new ideas, collaborations, and technologies.
We invite contributions that present advances in integrating the fields of embedded computing and ubiquitous systems. Industrial applications in the field are also encouraged. Papers can be of a conceptual, theoretical, application-oriented, standards-driving, innovative design or experimental nature, and should represent technological or scientific advances. SEUS 2010's goal is to bring together researchers from all over the world, to foster a stimulating and fruitful exchange amongst researchers working on similar topics, to discuss ideas, exchange field experiences and to find solutions together to the problems facing software technologies for embedded and ubiquitous systems.
All accepted paper will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer-Verlag. Selected papers will be considered for a journal (yet to be decided).
Topics
Suggested topics of interest include (but are not restricted to) the following:
Emerging applications, components and services
Emerging infrastructure support
Software architectures and programming models
Middleware, operating systems, software engineering, context awareness
Communication system architecture
Reports on R&D progress in the field
Specification of requirements
Emerging tools and trends
Emerging standards (or the need for new standards)
Practical experiences, particularly from industry
Government strategies
Paper Submission
Papers must be written in English, submitted in PDF format with 12 pages in limit (including all text, figures, references and appendices), and adhering to Springer Verlag's Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) format. Submission implies the willingness of the senior author to present his/her paper at the Workshop.
NOTE: Authors must upload their manuscripts to the SEUS 2010 paper submission site. Please do not email your submission to the PC Chairs or to any other address, to avoid your submission being lost.
Questions about the appropriateness of a topic for a submission may be directed to the PC Chairs.
