The Alpha College of Engineering offers graduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. These courses consist of eight semesters over duration of four academic years. In addition four Post-Graduate programs are offered.

Society of Information Processing was established in 2002 by two well known Computer Scientists Dr. L M Patnaik, former Vice-Chancellor, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology and Dr. Venugopal K R ,Principal, University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering. Society of Information Processing intends to be a global forum for Researchers, Engineers and Scientists to discuss recent advances and new technology in Information Processing. Its headquarters is located in Bangalore.
