Geocomputation 2015 has been extended to February 15, 2015. This will be the only extension. Detailed guidelines for submitting an abstract are available on the conference web site (http://www.utdallas.edu/geocomputation/call-for-pa...).
Expanded versions of accepted papers will be eligible for submission to special issues of the Journal of Visual Languages and Computing and another SCIE indexed journal (negotiations with this journal are being finalized), and to an edited book in the series entitled Advances in Geographic Information Science by Springer. A Best Paper Award, sponsored by IJGIS, will be presented. The winning author will be invited to submit the paper to IJGIS for publication with expedited review. A Best Poster Award, sponsored by Wiley, also will be presented. As a reminder, the deadline for submitting poster abstracts is March 1, 2015.
US NSF travel support is anticipated. Up to fifty grants are expected to be available for graduate students and junior faculty. Each grant will provide limited support for travel, registration (including workshop registration fees), and accommodation. Details about the application process for one of these grants will be announced on this web site, once NSF officially awards the funds.
