ICoICT 2015 - International Conference on Inequality and Sustainability in Asia
Topics/Call fo Papers
We welcome research articles to address theoretical and empirical issues in uneven development and sustainability arising from globalization, urbanization and institutional change in Asia.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
? Outcomes: income, social, health, education, digital, innovation, environmental inequalities, etc., and their interactive effects
? Trajectory/Dynamics: Timing, effects of intergenerational inequality, levels of development
? Scale: From global to local and everyday life, with an emphasis on the urban/regional scale
? Space/Place: Spatial association/agglomeration/clustering, core-periphery relations, uneven nature of inequality and sustainability, space/place/geography as agents etc.
? Networks: Spatial relations, flows, interactions
? Processes/Mechanisms: Globalization, liberalization, marketization, institutional change, decentralization, urbanization, industrialization, deindustrialization, spatial process
? Procedures/Policies: Role of institutions, policy effects and options, justice, planning
? Methodology: ESDA, spatial regression, GWR, multilevel modeling, spatial Markov chain, spatial distribution dynamics, big data etc.

Paper Submission and Acceptance:
1. The deadline for abstract (letter of intent) submission is May 1, 2015. Abstract should include title, abstract, keywords, and authors’ names, affiliations, bios, and contact information. Abstract should be within 300 words and submitted as a MS Word document.

2. The deadline for (draft) full paper submission is June 15, 2015. The paper should include title, keywords, text, references, tables and figures if necessary, and contact information.

3. The conference organization committee will review and select the abstracts based on conference topics and quality of research.
4. With the agreement of the authors, the organizers plan to publish an edited book and/or a journal special issue, subject to a peer review process.
