GHSC 2015 - 2015 Global History Student Conference
Topics/Call fo Papers
In recent years Global History has become one of the most ambitious and promising approaches amongst historians. In particular it targets relations, flows, and actors, transcending traditional boundaries, which for a long time have been assumed to be stable and impenetrable. Crucially, Global History calls attention to the importance of trans-regional and global connections and highlights the importance of postcolonial approaches to history and their integration into the everyday work of a historian. But how can we “do Global History“? What are practical examples and case studies of Global History? And what are the ways in which Global History can complement and work alongside other schools of historiography? If you are interested in these questions, the Global History Student Conference might offer you a great opportunity to share and discuss your ideas with a highly motivated international group of students. Furthermore, if you always regretted to spend a lot of effort on a paper that only your professor would read, this is your chance to present it to a broader audience!
