Topics/Call fo Papers
Modern Information Systems are associated with huge amounts of data and although research in computer science has produced highly advanced methodologies for analyzing them, new complex research challenges appear. Probability Theory and Statistics, on the other hand, are considered well-defined and mature disciplines that have evolved through several centuries now and became sound on the foundations of Mathematics. Probability theory and Statistics have offered innumerable theories, techniques and tools to all aspects of data analysis in the wide discipline of Information Systems. The aim of APSIS is to bring together scientists from different branches of Information Systems who use or develop advanced probabilistic or statistical methods in their research. We encourage contributions addressing novel and complex problems with the use of statistical analysis and probabilistic methods.
