ICDEM 2010 Co-located Workshops Workshop on Data Mining with Graphs and Matrices (WDGM’10), July 29, 2010, Tiruchirappalli, India
The International Workshop on Data Mining with Graphs and Matrices (WDGM’10) will provide a platform for researchers to explore cutting-edge ideas, techniques and results involving data mining with graphs and matrices. To be held in conjunction with the International Conference on Data Engineering and Management (ICDEM 2010), we invite original research contributions and industrial papers from varied domains. The scope of WDGM will be broad and will encompass diverse topics.
The relevant topics include theoretical foundations of data mining using graphs and matrices with applications including but not limited to the following areas:
? Social networks
? Preparing data for web mining
? Genomics and bioinformatics
? Mining Web data
? Information retrieval
? Multimedia data mining
? Business intelligence
? Medical data
? Visual analytics
Important Dates
Submissions due: May 21, 2010
Author Notification: June 4, 2010
Final Papers due: June 11, 2010
Workshop date: July 29, 2010
Submission Procedure
All submissions in PDF must be prepared in Springer LNCS style ((http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-...)) . Paper length should not be more than 6 pages. Submissions are reviewed in a double-blind manner.
Please submit your papers online at https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/ICDEM2010/. All accepted papers will appear in the proceedings published by a leading publisher with ISBN number.

About ICDEM 2010
The second ICDEM conference addresses research issues in modeling, designing,building, managing, and evaluating advanced data-intensive systems, digital library applications, and knowledge environment technologies. It is a growing forum for academicians, researchers, developers, students, and users to explore innovative ideas and to exchange techniques, tools, and their experiences.The International Conference on Data Engineering and Management aims to share research solutions to problems of today's information society and to identify new issues and directions for further research.
Workshops
ICDEM 2010 will host a number of affiliated workshops complementing its technical program and tracks. Affiliated workshops will be organized on the 28th and 29th of July, as pre-event workshops.
Proposals for workshops affiliated with ICDEM 2010 are cordially invited.
Proposals should be sent by e-mail by **April 15, 2010** to the workshop chairs:

and should include the following information:
- Name of the workshop
- Intended aims and scope of the workshop
- Intended format of the workshop(break-out sessions/panels/paper presentations)
- History of the workshop, if applicable
- Expected number of participants (min/ave/max)
- Length of the event (1/2, 1, or 2 days)
- Plans for dissemination (for example, published proceedings or special issues of journals)
- Contact person with full contact information
ICDEM 2010 will provide organizational and administrative support for the workshops, including: conference room, registration services, coffee breaks, production of proceedings (in print or CD), technical support (computer, projector, pointer, etc), impression of badges, certificates, programs, and a link for the workshop page on the ICDEM 2010 website.
Results of our selection will be sent shortly after the 15th of April.
