EPIA is the main International Conference of Artificial Intelligence in Portugal, supported by Portuguese Artificial Intelligence Association (APPIA). The purpose of the conference is to promote research in AI and scientific exchange among AI researchers, practitioners, scientists, and engineers in related disciplines.
EPIA conferences has been organized since 1989 every two years. Continuing the successful tradition, EPIA 2015, the Seventeenth Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence, will be held in the campus of University of Coimbra, in Coimbra, Portugal (http://epia2015.dei.uc.pt), 8-11, September, 2015. A selection of the best conference papers is published at Springer as “Progress in Artificial Intelligence”, Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence subseries.
SCOPE
EPIA 2015, following the standard EPIA format, will have a set of thematic tracks intended to promote the different sub-areas of research within AI and the cross-fertilization of ideas between researchers of the different research groups. After evaluation of proposals received in response to the Call for Thematic Tracks thirteen Thematic Tracks, covering a wide range of AI topics, have been selected.
