Topics/Call fo Papers
We invite submissions of original, high-quality papers on computer animation, broadly defined as computation dealing with time-varying phenomena. We particularly encourage submissions that broaden the scope of the field, including work in robotics and mechatronics (animation of physical systems), biomechanics and motor control (study of the animation of biological systems), human-computer interaction (interactive control of animation), and machine learning (learning to animate complex systems).
Each submission should be 7-10 pages in length, and will be reviewed by an international program committee for technical quality, novelty, significance, and clarity. All of the accepted regular papers will be archived in the EG and ACM digital libraries. All submissions will be considered for Best Paper Awards.
Short Papers
Continuing the highly successful short papers track from last year, we also invite 4-6 page submissions for quick dissemination of fresh ideas. These papers will undergo the same rigorous review process as regular papers, will appear in the electronic proceedings, and will be archived in the EG and ACM digital libraries.
Topics of Interest
Animation authoring
Animation systems
Animatronics
Biomechanics
Clothing simulation
Computational fluid mechanics
Computational solid mechanics
Interactive control of animation
Facial animation
Haptics
Human simulation
Learning for animation
Mathematical methods for animation
Mechatronics
Motion imaging and capture
Motor control
Physics libraries
Robotics
Simulation of natural phenomena
Stylized animation
Sound simulation
Visual effects
All papers will be reviewed carefully by the International Program Committee members. Given the limited time between submission and final version, papers will be evaluated as submitted.
