5th International Conference on Energy Aware Computing Systems and Applications (ICEAC 2015), Cairo, Egypt, March. 24-26 2015.
The fifth International Conference on Energy Aware Computing Systems & Applications(ICEAC) is a premier conference for technical forum for presentation of advances in all aspects of energy efficient computing. This year, the conference extends the theme to bring additional focus on applications that can benefit from energy aware computing. Submitted papers must represent original work, not announced, published, or presented before. Papers accepted for oral presentation will be published in Conference Proceedings, and will be included in IEEE Xplore Digital Library (Pending Approval).

In each of the tracks, authors can submit innovative research in the field, and can cover any of the following aspects:
1) New Breakthrough Applications Benefiting from Energy Efficiency
-Metrics for impact of energy saving on end user quality of experience
-Design and implementation of applications
-New algorithms for data mining and analytics
2) Energy Aware Platform Architecture
-System thermals, acoustics and power management features
-Power delivery architectures
-Energy efficient data center architectures
-Green cloud computing
-Energy aware networks
3) Energy Evaluation Tools
-Methods and tools for forecasting, estimating, and validating power
-Power workloads and benchmarks
-Power simulation, emulation and modeling techniques
-System power measurements
4) Low Power Hardware Design
-Low power logic, circuit and process technology design
-Low power libraries
-Techniques for on-die fine grain power management
-On-die sensors and instrumentation
-On-die power, thermal management and power delivery architectures
5) Energy Aware Software Design
-Low power virtualization and software techniques
-Low energy displays
-Energy efficient networking
-Energy efficient firmware organization
-Energy aware resource management

Technical Paper Submissions:
-Submissions should be full-length papers of up to 3 pages (double-column format, font size 9pt to 10pt, in IEEEtran format with "conf" option), including all illustrations, tables, references and an abstract of no more than 100 words. Papers exceeding the six-page limit will be charged if accepted 100 USD per additional page. Electronic submission in pdf format only via the web is required. A template can be found at www.iceac.org.
*Papers accepted in "Work in Progress" category will provide opportunity to discuss original ideas (including ongoing PhD thesis Work) and state of the art research in order to get feedback, but may not be published in conference proceedings.
-Some papers will be accepted to be presented as posters
-ICEAC'15 will present 2 Best Student Paper Awards based on reviewer ratings, and feedback from a panel of judges.
Invited Talk, Panel, Tutorial Proposals, Short Courses:
-There will be invited talks in plenary sessions by key representatives from industry and academia. Proposals for tutorials, panels, and short courses on future directions and design/technology alternatives in energy aware computing should be submitted to Technical Program Chair in the format provided on the web site. The short courses and tutorials will be available to the conference attendees at no additional charge.
Student Paper Award:
-Students will be given the opportunity to showcase original work related to energy aware computing and highlight their goals, implementation choices, and success measures. The entries should be identified as "Student Paper" on the first page, and should be presented at the conference by the student.
