The Conference on Information Technology in Asia (CITA) is an international event organised every two years by Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. This year, the 9th CITA theme is “Transforming Big Data into Knowledge” emphasising the big data challenges and its potential solutions which include data capture, data curation, data storage, data search, data sharing, data transfer, data analysis and data visualization. With the aim of managing the ever growing data, big data is also a key enabler to various fields such as engineering, medical, and business.
CITA is a multiple-track conference that includes workshops, keynote speakers, invited speakers as well as oral and poster presentations. The conference intends to act as a forum for research groups, academicians, computer scientists, engineers and practitioners to present the latest results, computer applications and promising future directions in addressing big data issues.
Submitted papers will be double-blind reviewed and registered accepted papers will be published in the digital conference proceedings indexed by EBSCO Publishing. The proceeding is also to be submitted to Thomson Reuters for ISI indexing and to IEEExplore. There are also Best Paper Awards in two categories, open category, and students’ category.
