LTE 2015 - First International Workshop on Intelligent Design and performance evaluation of LTE-Advanced Networks
Topics/Call fo Papers
Broadband wireless networks are considered as an important stimulus to economic recovery. However, the main challenge faced by mobile operators is the expected spectrum and capacity crunch by 2020. The aim of this workshop is to investigate new enablers that help coping with this expected traffic growth, with a particular focus on user experience improvement in future LTE-Advanced networks. This will contribute to a smooth and cost efficient transition towards 5G networks. The workshop is organized jointly by two collaborative projects, SHARING and IDEFIX, which deal with the above mentioned challenge. The works of these projects are complementary in the sense that SHARING project focuses on the design and optimization of radio features for LTE-A, while IDEFIX focuses on new tools for analyzing and enhancing the performances of these features, using advanced queuing theory and game theory techniques. The workshop will be open for paper submissions from inside and outside these projects.
