Dublin Institute of Technology is pleased to invite you to the 2015 Research in Engineering Education Symposium. REES2015 will be held in Dublin, Ireland from July 13 to July 15 2015. The symposium follows on from the success of ICREE 2007 in Hawaii, USA, REES 2008 in Davos, Switzerland, REES 2009 in Palm Cove, Queensland, Australia, REES 2011 in Madrid, Spain and REES 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This symposium is held in collaboration with the Research in Engineering Education Network (REEN). REEN is an international forum for scholars interested in discussing and advancing research in engineering education. It aims to bring together the growing international community of engineering education researchers. This vibrant and welcoming community nurtures developing researchers through collaboration and sound methodological approaches to address the challenges within Engineering Education.
More information on REEN can be found on the website:
REEN Website: http://grou.ps/reen
The key theme for REES 2015 is translating research into practice, and hence we are particularly looking for papers that describe education research studies which have impacted:
Engineering teaching and learning practices
Engineering curricula
Education policy
Administrative practices
REES 2015 will include sessions that focus on sociotechnical aspects of engineering education and hence include topics such as ethics, sustainability, STS and engineering practice.
Another theme of the conference will be research design with a particular focus on the following:
Ensuring rigour in engineering education research
Design-based research
Qualitative research
Emerging methodologies
Collaborative research projects
Academics, researchers and decision makers interested in enhancing engineering education through scholarly and evidence-based practices should not miss the opportunity to attend this meeting in Dublin, Ireland. The conference will be held from Monday 13th July to Wednesday 15th July 2015.
Registrations and abstract/paper submission will be facilitated through EDAS.
