Topics/Call fo Papers

GCPR 2015 is the 37th annual symposium of the German Association for
Pattern Recognition (DAGM). The conference addresses recent advances in
theory, methodology, and applications of pattern recognition, machine
learning and computer vision.

Call for papers:
Authors are invited to submit high-quality papers presenting original
research. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on the criteria of
originality, soundness, empirical evaluation, and presentation. In the
long tradition of this conference series, the single track program and
poster sessions will provide ample opportunity for open-minded
discussions and interaction.
The scope of GCPR 2015 includes, but is not limited to, the following
topics:
- Image/video processing, analysis, and computer vision
- Machine learning and pattern recognition
- Mathematical foundations, statistical data analysis and models
- Computational photography and confluence of vision and graphics
- Biomedical image processing and analysis
- Document analysis
- Biometrics
- Speech and signal processing
- Applications
The paper length is limited to 10 pages (plus references, which are
expected to be at most 2 pages in usual cases). In addition,
supplementary materials can be submitted. All manuscripts will be
subject to a double-blind review process. The proceedings will be
published in the Springer LNCS series. The best contributions will
receive GCPR awards.
Important dates
- Submission deadline: May 22, 2015
- Notification: July 13, 2015

Call for workshops and tutorials:
We would like to solicit proposals for workshops and tutorials to be
collocated with the German Conference on Pattern Recognition (GCPR
2015). Workshop and tutorials will take place on October 6, at the same
venue as the main conference.
GCPR workshops aim to provide a comprehensive forum on topics that will
not be fully explored during the main conference as well as to encourage
the discussion of technical and application issues in depth.
GCPR tutorials aim to provide a comprehensive overview of specific
topics in pattern recognition. The topic should be of sufficient
relevance with respect to the state-of-the-art and the course should be
educational rather than a cursory survey of techniques. The audience for
GCPR tutorials consists primarily of graduate students in pattern
recognition.
Short proposals for workshops or tutorials should be submitted by email
to gall-AT-informatik.uni-bonn.de and pgehler-AT-tuebingen.mpg.de. Please
include the following information:
- Name of workshop or tutorial
- Proposers' names, titles, affiliations, and primary contact email
- Short bio for each organizer
- Description that includes topics that will be covered, along with a
brief outline and significant details
Important dates
- Submission deadline: Feb 08, 2015
- Notification: Feb 28, 2015
