Nature-inspired computing and metaheuristics form a substantial amount of activities in computational intelligence, data-mining, business intelligence, information technology and their applications. Big Data Analytics on the other hand concerns about research and application of machine learning and information technology with a specific focus on the Big Data issues. These two emerging research trends when converged, are expected to produce multiplying effects on performance improvement and new possibilities for creating the next generation of computational services and practical applications for tackling the latest research problems.
