SCN 2014 - Workshop on "Statistical Challenges in Neuroscience"
Topics/Call fo Papers
Workshop on "Statistical Challenges in
Neuroscience" will take place Sept. 3 to 5, 2014 in Warwick, UK, and
will be hosted by the Center for Statistical Methodology (CRiSM). The
goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers from statistics
and (computational) neuroscience, to hopefully create greater awareness
within the statistical community of the kind of challenges that arise in
neuroscience, and to introduce some recent developments in statistics to
neuroscientists with an interest in methods.
The list of speakers, preliminary program, and abstracts can be viewed
on the workshop's website:
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/crism...
Topics include the analysis of imaging data (from fMRI to calcium
imaging), connectome analysis and likelihood-free techniques.
The workshop will include a poster session, and we would like to invite
anyone interested, particularly students and junior researchers, to
submit abstracts. The deadline for both registration and poster abstract
submission is Monday 19th August. However, the number of participants is
limited and spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Poster abstract submissions can be made via the website:
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/crism...
Limited travel support will be available for "young researchers", see
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/statistics/crism...
Looking forward to seeing you in Warwick,
The Organisation Committee: Adam Johansen (University of Warwick),
Nicolas Chopin (CREST-ENSAE), Simon Barthelme (University of Geneva)
