ETX 2014 - Eclipse Technology eXchange Workshop
Topics/Call fo Papers
The Eclipse platform (http://www.eclipse.org) was originally designed for building integrated development environment for object-oriented applications. Over the years it has developed into a vibrant ecosystem of platforms, toolkits, libraries, modeling frameworks, and tools that support various languages and programming styles.
The goal of the ETX workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas about potential new uses of Eclipse and how Eclipse technology can be leveraged, improved, and/or extended for research and education.
EXT 2014 will take place 20 or 21 October 2014. The conference venue is the Marriot Hotel in Portland, Oregon, United States, co-located with SPLASH 2014.
Call for papers
EXT 2014 invites original and unpublished contributions about potential new uses of Eclipse and how Eclipse technology can be leveraged, improved, and/or extended for research and education.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
? Integrated Development Environment (IDE)
? Debugging and testing
? Supporting the software development process
? Supporting design, requirements, and specifications
? Modeling environments and frameworks
? Aspect-oriented programming
? Program analysis and transformation
? Computer-based learning
? Software engineering education
? Teaching foundations of object-oriented programming
? Courseware
? Rich client applications
? OSGi
? Applications on the Internet of Things
? Supporting the development of Android applications
Submission
ETX 2014 submissions must be original and unpublished work of up to 6 pages in the SIGPLAN Proceedings Format, 10 point font (note that this requires setting an option in the LaTeX template). and are single-blind (i.e., authors are not anonymous). We accept research papers as well as relevant position or experience papers.
