Systems are called "intelligent" if they have the capability to take decisions based on experience. But gaining experience involves both knowledge acquisition and learning. Learning is normally done by human intervention, where the instructions are fed manually to the intelligent program. The instructions undergo a phase called "operationalization" where they undergo transformation from natural language to a form understandable by the program. It involves both translation and substitution of operation structures. This is very critical because the efficiency of learning depends on how well the conversion is done.
The International Workshop on Language Translation in Intelligent Agents (LTIA-2014) aims to bring together researchers from both industry and academia to participate and present their work related to various aspects of natural language processing, learning and operationalization.
Topics of interest include but not limited to:
Adaptability of GCC Machine Descriptions in Operationalization
Analogy of Code Generation and Operationalization
Choice of Programming Languages for Learning Agents
Code Optimization in Compilers
Conversion of Natural Language Instructions into High Level Programs
Deductive Agents
Efficient Language Front-Ends
Impact of Operationalization in Knowledge Base Structure
Incorporating Machine Translation Techniques in Learning
Intelligent Agents
Language Syntax and Semantics
Language Translators
Learning by Advice
Lexical and Syntax Analysis for Natural Languages
Natural Language Understanding
Operation Unfolding and Substitution
Propositional and Predicate Logic in Language Translation
Retargetable Compilers
Translation of Existing Knowledge Bases into Operations
Word Order Determination in Operationalization
Authors should submit their papers online via EDAS. Unregistered authors should first create an account on EDAS to log on. Further guidelines for submission are posted at: http://icacci-conference.org/website/call-papers . All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts in the field based on originality, significance and clarity, only papers presenting novel research results or successful innovative applications are considered for publication in the conference proceedings. The accepted and presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.
