ICRA 2011 - ICRA 2011 : IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation
Topics/Call fo Papers
The 2011 International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2011) will take place
from May 9 to 13, 2011 at the Shanghai International Conference Center and the Shangri-
La Hotel Shanghai Pudong in Shanghai, China.
Located at the mouth of the Yangtze River, the longest river in China, on the west bank of
the East China Sea, Shanghai acts as a link between Chinas inland regions and the
outside world, and it is comfortable with both eastern and western cultures. With a history of
more than 700 years, Shanghai was once the financial center of the Far East and in recent
years the municipal government is working towards building Shanghai into a modern
metropolis and a global economic, financial, trading and shipping center by 2020. With a land
area covering 6,340 square kilometers and a population of 16 million people, Shanghai has
become the largest economic center in China, with its GDP growth maintained at a rate of
over 10 percent in the last 11 years. More than 100 foreign countries and regions have
invested in over 30,000 projects in Shanghai. Shanghai has direct connections with 141
cities in 29 countries and regions via Pudong and Hongqiao international airports. Shanghai
is a prominent
historical city with a rich cultural heritage. The vintage western style buildings on the Bund
and the modern Lujiazui Financial Center in Pudong face each other across the Huangpu
River. On the other hand, Yuyuan Garden and Longhua Temple display very graceful
ancient Chinese architecture.
The ICRA 2011 conference promises to be a great event with excellent technical and social
programs. Paper manuscripts reporting original research results on all aspects of robotics
and automation are welcome. Proposals for tutorials and workshop, and organized sessions,
on new topics or innovative applications are invited. Video clips illustrating new and exciting
results are invited for video sessions. Exhibits from both industries and research laboratories
are welcome. Please visit the official conference
website for detailed instructions for paper, proposal, video, and exhibit submissions.
Important Dates:
Submission of all contributions: September 15, 2010
Notification of acceptance: January 15, 2011
All final submissions due: February 15, 2011
