DSoNets 2014 - The FIRTST IEEE WiMob 2014 Workshop on Dynamic Social Networks (DSoNets 2014)

Social networks are one of the latest revolutions that have taken the world by storm; they are so popular nowadays that everyone wants to use them anytime and anywhere through heterogeneous devices in order to facilitate human interaction as well as creating professional relationships. Their use within vehicles has attracted many companies to develop and to integrate basic social features to navigation applications and services. Moreover, as enablers of global systems inter-operability, Internet of things (IoT) and cloud computing are at the heart of success of the communications industry. Indeed, smart devices can interact and consume services with other persons and things through social cloud infrastructures toward a common goal which will lead to a new generation of social Internet of Things (S-IoT). Furthermore, mobile social networking has recently been adopted with the widespread diffusion of intelligent mobile devices. In addition, the emergence of social context-aware applications introduced new use-cases for Device-to-Device (D2D) communications in cellular networks. This workshop is to bring together under one roof researchers, scientists and other like-minded people with a common objective of sharing latest research and thoughts on the evolution of dynamic social networks.
